Ubi Announces Brothers In Arms 3 For PlayStation 3
Ubisoft has today confirmed that the full name of the forthcoming next-gen Brothers in Arms title will be Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. The game, which will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and PC in Winter 2006, sees the troops of the 101st Airborne (including BiA veterans Red Hartsock and Matt Baker) as they continue their trudge through Europe and launch into Operation Market Garden.
One of the major events of World War II the operation lasted over nine days in September 1944 and focused on the allied capture of key bridges, which would enable the advancement into Germany. The game had already been announced for Xbox 360, and by way of the 2005 Tokyo Game Show, PlayStation3, and is sure to be on show at next month's E3 2006.
"With Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway, Gearbox is investing everything to take next-generation gaming to an entirely new level," said Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software. "For Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway, the Unreal Engine 3 powers real next-generation graphics and the most intense, action-oriented recreation of true history ever offered as interactive entertainment."
